JUNIOR miner and explorer Alkane Resources has announced drilling results at its McPhillamys prospect confirm significant gold potential.
The project is part of a joint venture with Newmont Australia [www.newmont.com].
The zone has been extended to greater than 350m and the company will continue drilling through to the end of 2008 with hopes of producing more significant results.
Although significant prospects have been confirmed, the project is not expected to produce any gold until more drilling has been completed.
