BEADELL Resources has announced initial encouraging results from a round of drilling at its Tropicana East gold project in Western Australia.

Of six aircore/RC drilling traverses carried out across the Hercules Shear Zone, five returned intersections greater than 0.05 g/t gold, up to a maximum result of 0.7 g/t gold.

Beadell’s Tropicana East project lies roughly 60 km north east of Anglogold/Independence’s 5 million ounce Tropicana gold deposit.

Beadell managing director Peter Bowler noted the north east extension of Anglogold/Independence’s Purple Haze prospect remains essentially untested for several kilometres within Beadell’s tenure.
