AN AGGRESSIVE diamond drilling program using modern day exploration technologies will test uranium discoveries in the Northern Territory.

The program will test historical discoveries made by Mobil Energy Minerals Australia and Total Mining Australia in the 1980’s.

A drill rig has been allocated to complete the intensive program at Pancontinental Uranium’s Chilling Project, 120km south of Darwin.

Two diamond core holes totaling almost 400m have already been completed at the project, with assay results expected by late October 2008.

It is expected the drill will be met by a second air core rig in coming weeks which will drill continuously until late November 2008.
