Drilling contractor takes punt on NT mining project

WESTERN Desert Resources (WDR) has made an interesting agreement with a drilling contractor that will see the company exchange scrip for drilling in the Northern Territory.

The contract will provide WDR with 54 weeks of drilling services from drilling contractor, Titeline, to complete RC and diamond drilling projects in the NT.

WDR says although Titeline is taking “a bit of a punt on the projects”, independent experts say the agreement is “fair and equitable”.

Drilling will be predominantly based at the Roper Bar iron ore project in the NT, and is currently underway until December 2008.
