SHAW River Resources has successfully raised $5 million to accelerate exploration at the flagship Baramine Manganese Project (70% owned).

Managing Director Vincent Algar says drilling is currently underway at Baramine and exploration will accelerate in Q4 2009.

Algar says first pass drilling at Baramine returned a very impressive 45 significant manganese intercepts. Drill intersections were over 15% Mn and up to 38% Mn in 16 of 61 first pass drill holes.

Funds will also be used to progress Shaw River's Mt Minnie Project, a manganese, copper-gold, base metals project.
