CAPS Australia is the distributor for the Airman PDS range of portable diesel compressors. The compressors are designed for fuel efficiency, with tank sizes ranging from 270 litres to 700 litres.
The Airman compressors have also been designed to emit lower noise levels, at 65 dBA from a distance of 7 metres when idle.
The PDS diesel compressor range includes box type, trailer mounted and large mobile units. The compressors can be used in applications ranging from concrete spraying and shotcreting, well drilling to natural resource exploration.
The Airman compressors have most recently been used in the field by drilling contractors, Mitchell Contractors Victoria.
The company employed the Airman PDSE 900 trailer mounted diesel compressor for rock drilling in the field. Mitchell Contractors saw a substantial reduction in fuel costs as well as increased productivity from minimising of down times due to refuelling.
