KENNARDS Hire has developed a new fleet of large pumps suitable for use in the drilling industry.
The pumps range of 200 mm, 150 mm and 100 mm models are available from a network of designated “pump branches”. Models vary between outlets, but units can be moved quickly between locations to meet the needs of customers.
The company says the skid-mounted 200 mm silenced pumps are the latest addition to the fleet. They can pump 220 litres per seconds, with a head of 64m.
These units are quiet — 62 dBA at seven metres — and comply with prescribed noise regulations. Also available is an extra high-head 200 mm pump, which is suited for the mining industry with its maximum head of 185m and pumping rate of up to 150 litres per second.
The supplier says trailer-mounted 150 mm pumps, which can move up to 132 litres per second, are proving popular because they are not only fast, but also offer flexibility. All controls are situated inside the lockable module allowing for the user to “set and run”, eliminating the need for after-hours surveillance.
They can handle solids of up to 77 mm and have a maximum head of 29m. The Kennards fleet includes skid-mounted 150 mm pumps, with a capacity of 174 litres per second and a maximum head of 60m.
Kennards says the 100 mm pumps are trailer-mounted for easy manoeuvrability and have an extra high head, being able to pump 67m at a rate of up to 27 litres per second.
