WILCO Technologies has released its Trajectaflex resin firing system, said to reduce fatigue and risk of injury.
The Trajectaflex Firing System is a steel nozzle which uses a spring design to shoot resin capsules into a pre-drilled bolt-hole for resin set bolting.
According to the company, the system has been trialled and tested at BHP Billiton’s Olympic Dam mine and is now in full-operation at the site.
The system consists of a tension spring with an adaptor at each end, a nylon inner tube and an exchangeable tip with exhaust slots.
The firing nozzle is fixed at the end of a rail mounted onto an independent slide, allowing it to be extended and retracted for easy bolt-hole location.
Resin capsules are loaded into a manifold located at the operator’s platform and then shot with air pressure via a delivery line along the jumbo boom.
The company says the model safely and efficiently installs resin set bolts with less operator movement to reduce fatigue and risk of injury.
